My Approach

My core approach to therapy is person-centred. This approach is non-directive and puts you the client at the heart of the therapeutic process and allows you to set your own pace, one that you are comfortable with. My aim is to provide a warm, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe enough to talk about any issues or concerns, whether past or present, that may be impacting on your everyday life.

At times, life can feel challenging or confusing. It can be a struggle to make sense of our circumstances. Relationship issues, anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement and divorce, are common problems that many of us face in our lives, which can affect our happiness and quality of life. In exploring parts of your life and relationships that you are not happy with, counselling, can help you in developing your own inner resources and enable you to find your own answers and solutions to your current difficulties. My professional, but caring and down to earth approach aims to be supportive and sensitive whilst we work through your issues and difficulties.

In addition to the person-centred approach I use a range of influences such as the Gestalt approach, inner child work and mindfulness to help you move towards positive change and growth.
